Grit your teeth and go through the pain. That’s what I decided to do three years ago. I joined this forum a few months later and really glad I did. As with all of us I soon picked up some quit buddies and I will always be eternally grateful to them. I realise that one puff will put me back in the road to destruction so I often visit here and check out the recent posts. Thanks icanquit.

Hi Dobbin. Am so glad to see your post. 3 years is a huge milestone. May the 100 days separate our ongoing journeys and remain that way. Our group of quitters were an amazing bunch of quit buddies. So lucky to have been embarking on that journey at about the same time. Oh, how we egged each other on. Anyhow, it worked!

Well done Dobbin, who would of though we would be giving each other accolades on the wonderful achievements we have made.

Some very awkward hurdles we have had to overcome, to be where we are today...

But hey... we well didn't die in the process or murder anyone... but it has changed my prospective on alot of issues in my soul searching journey,

The first would be to have confidence to believe in yourself that you can do it..

Learn to let go of your smokes

I suprised myself, by letting go n surviving....

It is a do able excercise, but you just need to believe in yourself.

Hi Folks. Thanks for your responses and thanks for all the help over the last three years. Well done Lia for keeping that 100 days ahead of me. One day at a time I think and freedom from the nicotine devil is possible. Thanks again.

11 days away from 1 year with out smokes or alcohol. I can’t believe I still get the occasional craving.not with the start of football, It will be a true test of how far I have come, because like most men I loved having a 12 pack of bud cans and watch the games and smoke.no way I’m going back to that life again. The fear of not being able to breath and heart attack out weighs the joy I had smoking and drinking. If I didn’t reach the point of being sick and scared I would have never quit. I want to live!!!
