Hi,

This is my first post and I’ve been quit for 59 days. This is not my first quit I have had several attempts over the last 10 Years and 7 Years was my longest. I longed to give up and every single cig I had I hated every minute of it. So I gave them up again but this time I have used nicotine patches for the first time. I’m not going to say it’s been easy because it hasn’t it’s actually been the toughest quit but because of the hardship I have faced this time I am never going back and doing this again to myself. I went to a party tonight and I was a little apprehensive about going as some of my friends are smokers and it was these same friends that I broke my last quit with. Anyway I can say I’m very proud of myself and wasn’t even tempted. I am just taking 1 day at a time. After reading lots of post on here I now know about no mans land and it’s in this period when I usually slip up. Knowledge is power. Good luck to everyone trying to quit, I truely wish you all the best .
