Starting champix

When i was ready to commence my champix tablets, i made myself some rules, no smoke and drinking in one place, (i had to move away from my drink to have a ciggy) same as for eating.
This helped immensley as i was used to being in comfort, now i had to seperate the two. Coffee! Had to have my 3 ciggs, so i did the same, now i dont really drink coffee as its not like it used to be. I went from 33 cigs highest nicotine to 15 cigs on my 3rd day of tabs.
I am not sure where i should post my experiences of my next 3 weeks, if anyone can offer as to what section please. I also have questions regarding depression, moods and quitting the tabs early. TIA

Yeah champix is good for cutting down on cigarettes but not so good for stopping all together. Yes they have been known to cause depression. It's tricky to get the dose right with champix becuase for some of us the 0.5mg isn't quite enough. With regards to coffee it can be a trigger although i've not found this too bad if it is a problem i try to drink abit more tea and that seems to help.

hi all
started using Champix 2 weeks ago im on my 1st tablet of week 3, still waiting something magical to happen i have been having my 20 cigs a day
but today i found my smokes are not tasteful, the way i like it,my brain does not want a smoke BUT my hands and fingers are forcing me to have a smoke
i had a smoke but used the opposite hand which im not use to, i still had 1
i am reading all comments i hope to stop smoking and reading as much as i can on other peoples reactions efforts and help if there are any advises please let me know

Great going JJJM, it wasn't until my third week that i just went to zero cigs.
its good you are finding ways of changing habits, i still get the quick urge, but since the tablets make me queasy and leave a horrid taste on my tongue: the thought of a ciggy in my mouth is awful. not sure whats worse the cigs or the yucky feelings.
my motto so far is "ive not quit, ive decided not to smoke"
