So easily irritated?

Okay so I’m only on day 5 (almost day 6, it’s past my bedtime haha) and I haven’t noticed my cravings being too bad, considering I probably smoked about 20 a day for 10(ish) years. I do find when I’m bored I automatically find my hands reaching to the table where I normally would find my tobacco, or a sense of feeling like I was about to do something and realising that’s when I would normally smoke.

My partner still smokes, in the house and around me and suprisingly this doesn’t bother me either (bar the fact I now notice he smells like an ashtray!).

I know you do have withdrawal symptoms and I did notice an increase in my appetite (about day 3) but now I’m on day 5 I’ve noticed I literally have no patience. The smallest thing is really annoying me and normally where I would either not notice, or would overlook it, I seem to have no build up period. It’s literally 0-100 in a split second, over things I know shouldn’t annoy me, but I can’t help it I literally want to bite everyone’s heads off. I don’t notice that I feel particularly annoyed (I generally feel fine) then a split second later I feel like having a temper tantrum like a child. Has anyone else had this/ is able to offer some advice to get past this pretty quickly? I can’t imagine it’s very nice for anyone around me?

Thanks!

I am hearing you..only onto day 4, and the irritation and short temper is real! But it will pass (eventually).

Good luck on your quitting!!
