I need help

I quit smoking on 11th of March and I still miss smoking every single day. Everyday, I sit in a library to study and I have a view outside and there's always someone standing there smoking a cigarette. however, I have never felt that I am glad that I'm not standing there with that person. I always feel the desire and craving. The only thing that helps me is the humongous cost of cigarettes in Australia. This means that once I'm done with my studies after 2 years and go back to my home country where I can find a pack for less than 2 dollars, I'll start again.
Presumably you wish to be a non-smoker but find yourself in a dilemma because you miss smoking. But what, exactly, do you miss about it? What does it do for you? Does it give you some wonderful pleasure or help to relieve stress in some way? If you think about it, what smoking does for you (or anyone) is – nothing. Many recent quitters say they miss smoking because of a misperception that smoking has benefits of some sort. If you can see smoking for what it is – nicotine addiction and nothing else – it shouldn’t be so difficult not to miss it.

Day 19.
Still going strong.Reduced patch strength and have commenced taking it off earlier each day.No real strong urge to smoke.Breathing is much better as well as sleep.I feel great that the cigarette is not ruling my day and the money saved is going on another trip to San Francisco. Was there in March and became quite sick and couldnt do everything I wanted.Thank you everyone for your kind and educated words of support.

im on day 3 and yes i still miss it but mostly it's just my brain trying to deal with the receptors been interupted. I find smoking can relieve some stress but it doesn't solve all problems. I think in parts of Sydney Australia they have banned smoking on the streets smoking should be something done at home if at all becuase when people try to quit they constantly have to face people smoking on streets and of course in bars etc. NRT too is only half the soloution just try to keep working on it..not smoking that is.
