I learned something new

I went home for lunch today, something I haven't done since I have quit. I panicked a bit on the way home, thinking I really needed to be having a cigarette when I got home (to complete the old pattern of lunch at home). The intrusive thoughts from Smoker didn't last too long, I told myself that I don't smoke and there were no smokes at home so it would have to be a different experience and it all went okay.
What I learned though was that as smug as I have been so far, very possibly on every occasion that I encounter where I used to smoke that I haven't been/done since I have quit, my first reaction might automatically be "smoke". At least now I am aware of that and will be prepared.
