Hi everyone, thus site has been a home to me for almost 2yrs when i decided to quit. I still check the site from time to time and do not see many recognisable names from my early days, although i feel sure that they have not regressed. The whole situation is that when one is out of the woods from smoking the thought of cigarettes disappears and one may not even have the thought any longer to visit this site. However i do feel for the beginners and in betweeners as i realise the agony early in the piece. One must go through this form of agony and frustration. What is important to note is that the agony will be rewarded in the end if one doesn't regress as then the whole agonisation that was experienced will become sorrow. So, hang in there and give it all you have. Cheers everyone.

Hi Dolly and thankyou for your kind words. It is a pleasure that i may have assisted you on your quit journey. I was always with the motto "you will never know until you try" but smoking is now one thing I regret i ever tried. Still today everyone has a bvetter chance to quit having regard to more health issues and also ever increasing cost. Stay strong and chew a mint if you get a craven......i ate hundreds of mints lol. Cheers.

Dolly, very sad to hear your words but life must go on. You are doing well in your quit effort but as i said if cravens become intolerable at least get some 4mg lozenges and have half of one when needed. This is how i began. It takes at least 90 days before you are out of the woods. Bye for now Dolly and good luck.

Hi Johnnie, like you I have to come back here for a reality check and a reminder why Im doing this, I spent my first 100 days here nearly every day reading and writing Story's as well as coming to terms with my Addiction. Thanks to you and Everyone for being there for me. 230 Days later Im still on the right track and able to get on with my life, One Day At A Time.

Hi Ron and Dobbin. Glad to see you fellas are doing well.

Yes, i jump in from time to time to check out the site but it's as i previously mentioned when smoking is out of the mind one does really forget the torture that was endured.

However, when i remember the people from my early days on this site i do like to check it out. In one way I feel it gives me more motivation to continue. Just touching 2 years now and YES it DOES feel and gets better. Cheers to all. .........

Hey Red how you doing? Been a while. Yes, we bumped and tossed in the early days mate but doesn't it feel nice now catching up from time to time with people we mostly shared our tortures. As i have said previously if one is seriously considering quitting then he or she will definitely see the light in the tunnel. Cheers Red.

Hi Johnnie. Good to "see" the old timers pop up now and again. Just a great reminder of our often tortuous journey. We have reached the end of the tunnel and been "spat out". The hard yards never go away as we know oh so well from the experiences of others and how easy it is to fall off the wagon... We are not on our own and know there are supporters here cheering all of us old and new quitters on.

Hi Lia, nice of you to join the reunion.....lol.....

Yes you are so right in your comments.......temptations may arise but one just needs to think back of what needed to be edured to reach the light of the tunnel. I for one do not think i will revert and enjoy the uprising cost of cigarettes which is also a very big deterrent. Cheers.
