Day 3 a bit bumpy today

3 days completed and in to day 4. The cravings are kicking in, my good angel and bad angel (I’m calling her the ‘fag hag’) are doing battle each time a craving comes along. Good angel is winning.

Water...lots of it. Deep breathing. Lo-cal snacks. Suck on a straw or a toothpick. Gum. Any distraction that doesn't involve sucking carcinogenic poisons into your body.

Millions have done it. So can you.

Hi Lbeth

I am 3 and a bit weeks in and can remember day 3 and 4 quite clearly. It will get easier. You can do it. You are doing it right now.

Lots of slow deep breaths and exercise whenever and however you can. Nothing like 10 star jumps to distract you.

Thanks Lee2014, I'm into day 5 now, I have been throwing all the tips at this thing and I feel strong in my resolve. At the moment 3 weeks is my first big milestone, it is longer than I have achieved previously and in all literature and posts I have read, it seems to be a commonly quoted turning point from the hour to hour fight to quit. Great work getting there!
