I have had a terrible time trying to quit this is actually my second quit attempt in as many weeks i slipped up and bought a pack just a 20 pack and hated the smell on my clothes so i got down to 3 cigarettes left in the pack and like on any quit attempt i wet the smokes and threw them in the bin. My problem with smoking is a pretty bad habbit discusting actually i pick up butts off the street i haven't tried quit line but should give it a go. So far now i haven't smoked any in 3 days but am addicted to the NRT's exept the patches. It's really hard when your addicted to nicotine in general becuase you'll do anything for a drag or a single puff on a cigarette I find the gum although addictive to be very helpful in breaking out of the cigarette routine.

Hello there, four days into my thousandth attempt. I quit smoking for 5 months last year. I blame complete insanity for even thinking of starting again. My advice, move away from the thought immediately. As soon as you think I want a smoke, dismiss the thought like its not even an option and the craving will go away. I know so many people that hold the thought of a cigarette in their heads all day long, thinking of it, smelling it, how can I get it?? STOP dismiss the thought, you're a non smoker, you do not smoke, having a smoke is not an option for you, understand that and the cravings will go just as fast as they come :-) Hope that helps!!
