Hi everyone been a while since I last posted. Been quit now 636 days and shared early days on this site with names such as Lia,Dobbin,Wendy and a host of other great people. I have a high regard for these people and the inspirations they all provided to me and many others in times of need. I honestly don't post as often these days is simply because i do not think about smoking. I have changed my life and habits and i cannot believe the change myself. That is what it's all about people. If you do the hard work now you will surely reap the rewards later. You must believe in yourself and not be weak. Not easy i kid you not but please try hard and keep coming back to this site for advice. Cheers.

Hi Johnnie. I like your reference to the fact that you have changed your life and habits. Me too! No, wasn't easy but support from regulars on this site means I have $26000 in my overs tray as opposed to my ashtray. Think you will get a laugh out of that one, Johnnie. Wish you well.

Hi Lia......yes it is rather strange, i do not think or feel for a cigarette these days . Also when you think about the high cost of cigarettes at present it is not worth the expenditure for a little thrill of buzz. These days i get my thrills from buying and enjoying the things i need from my savings......which is close in number to your nest. Anyway all the very best to you and all on this site. Cheers.

Hi Johnnie,

Near the end of your posting you said "...please try hard and keep coming back to the site for advice". This hit home with me. I was just thinking this morning how much of a support this site has been for me especially during the first couple of days/weeks of my quit. I remember one post when I was near 6 months and you commented that what I was experiencing was normal and you had experienced something similar during that time period of your quit. Hearing this back then helped me tremendously in so many ways. Even today, seeing you are over 600 days quit gives me motivation and energy to continue on with my quit (although as you said, it is so much easier now and cravings rarely come). Thanks for the support you gave and continue to give.

Thankyou for the kind words "Not This Time". I am happy that I have assisted you and hopefully many others on the journey we have undertaken on this site. Cheers.

Hi Wendy.. yes been a while. Happy to hear you are still on track like me. Yes when cigarettes are no longer on your mind one does tend to visit the site less often but I do from time to time to offer support to the newbies. Anyway all the best Wendy and hope to chat again in the future. Cheers.
