Tomorrow is my quit day

Hi! I’m on week 2 of taking champix. I’ve noticed a difference in taste. My quit date is tomorrow and frankly I’m scared!! Scared of how I will feel or cope without this bad habit. Any tips? Thank you

Thinking about quitting is harder than actually quitting. Make sure you have a lot of books, water, carrots, celery, and tv. Drink lots of water. It helps the oral fixation and it's soothing. Distraction is key. And so is controlled breathing. The craving for a cigarette will go away whether you have one or not. Yucchhh. It's really vile to me now. I quit on October 21, 2017. I am a non smoker...and non-nicotine user. No hand cuffs. I LOVE it.

Thanks!! I just had my last one and I’m more relaxed now knowing that it’s over!

The only thing that stops us quitting is fear.

The only withdrawl symptom you should feel is a slight emoty feeling every now and then. Cigarettes do not fill this void, they create it.

Smokers do not smoke because they enjoy it, but because they are miserable without it!

Be happy that you are free 😁

Thanks! So far so good!! It helps that I also have a cold. Makes me want to smoke less. Haven’t thought of smoking so far! 💪🏼

Hey Wendy, I'm going to quit in a few days. You certainly make Champix sound grim.

Steph, I wish you luck and strong willpower. Nicotine is an addiction which can be overcome.

Hi!! Today is day 5!!! I’m so proud of myself :-) I don’t have to stress about wanting one! My breathing has already improved! Sometimes I do feel depressed and alone. Like I’m missing something. Day 2 and 3 were the worst!! Probably because nicotine has left my body. As for champix so far so good. I had weird nightmares on week one. I’m starting week 3 on Monday. I also feel like I have so more more times on my hands now. I still get occasionally agressive and moody. Hope it passes soon .
