A failed attempt

I am now 57 years old i have smoked since i was 13. It was the cool thing to do then . Boy did it get a grip on me like so many others. I really need to quit i recently tried champix and they took away the craving totally didnt smoke for nearly 3 months and felt so much better. No coughing breathing was easier all the positives. Then i thought ill just have one every now and then so now i'm back to were i started. I have set a new quit date for next saturday im going to try going cold turkey work my way thru it develope strong will power and suceed. I know i can do it i know smokes are bad and boy do they blow the budget. Heres to sucess.

It’s interesting that after you’d successfully quit you wanted to have one cigarette now and then. Why was this? It’s because many smokers think there’s something helpful, like stress relief, or enjoyable in smoking. Neither is true! Therefore you need to be on your guard, after you’ve quit again, not to think about smoking in the old, wrong way. Smoking is horrible and it’s marvellous to be a non-smoker! Good luck anyway.

Dr Symonds and Red67 thank you for your support i will succeed i will QUIT and i know it will improve my life. Having had a taste of freedom I want to get back there :-)
