I'm off Champix
Hi all,
It's been almost 6 weeks without cigarettes however I did have two on Saturday (Oh well...not kicking myself over it). I have been on Champix of almost 8 weeks now but three days ago I decided to come off them. I had a half dose for two days and today is the first day without taking any. I'm feeling anxious and sad, my throat feels tight and I'm not feeling 100% in any way....are these side effects from the Champix or it my brain just tripping altogether?? I don't feel like having a smoke...I just don't feel well.
Hi Marli, you might have come off them too quickly. ..I would go straight back to the doctor for a review. I once came off medication too quickly years ago and felt unwell as well. I resumed the medication and then did it much more slowly when I was ready.
