I want to my doctors got a chest x-ray which came back clear but when the doctor listen to my lungs she could hear Wheezing and congestion in all 4 loves of my lungs ... I was given a Z pack which is antibiotics a pill that would help while my cough at night time .....Nothing seems to be working I’m up all night exhausted all day and struggling to breeze on a daily basis today was my last day for my antibiotics dammit I think I should feel better and I don’t so I looked it up on the Internet and I came across this site I found deck DAK’s post which was extremely helpful and really was the deciding factor in signing up for this website anybody else he said experience like this please feel free to contact me or post your story so I don’t feel so alone.... this struggle is real!!!!!

schedule 15 Mar 2018

Hang in Feb14 . I just reached 32 days the month before I only smoked twice . I have been a dedicated heavy smoker for 34 years . I have only lasted a day or two on a couple of occasions stopped prior to this. I have felt dreadful for 2 months ,migraines ,nausea ,irritability and can't concentrate. Sleep is hit and miss so more hours in the day to crave a smoke. I figure it will all sort out in the end ,the body and mind are detoxing. Every complaint I have I need to think if I keep smoking chemotherapy, radiation, Emphysema etc are inevitable and much worse. So I say to myself suck it up sunshine and get through another day and feel blessed to be alive. On my days off I have taken to watching tv which I never did and feel pretty pathetic ,at the end of another 24 hrs I tell myself another one down. Coughing and wheezing is scary and tiring maybe you will take longer to get better because of your smoking ,when it's over all the gunk in the lungs should be well and truly coughed up and bugs obliterated. Hope that day comes soon !

Hi February 14, go back to the doctor if you are still feeling horrible, sometimes you need a second lot of antibiotics. Today I am 730 days smoke free, so hang in there you can do this it is difficult but it will be worth it

Unfortunately I have developed COPD, and struggle to breathe often, but each day I push myself and walk 30 minutes every morning and lead a normal life, I just need to rest often. I am so glad I stopped my health could have been worse.

So hang on there
