3 Months Free

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 2 Feb 2018

Hello everyone, today I'm celebrating being smoke free for 3 hole months, it is more like 3 years to me and I'm ashamed to say that I still long for a smoke, it feels like a nostalgia for a lost friend (I know thats stupid, cigarrets were never my friends!)

Nevertheless, I'm holding strong, some days I only think about smoking as something of the past, I dont even crave one, but others are more difficult, I'm looking forward to my next goal; 100 days.

I'm coming up to week 15. I really wanted this so I'm not suffering too much. Sure I think about it from time to time, but I don't crave it. Especially when this woman at work comes in from a smoke break ... reeking of butts and loneliness. Nope. Don't miss that at all.

And to think that i once smelled like your co-worker....I am appalled.

It is indeed easier when you want to make this change for yourself rather that having to do it for surgery etc.  And easier not to look back.

Love the new life you have chosen and be proud!

Thanks Red, I know, and you are so right when you mention that smoking makes us stupid.
