I was only on champix for three weeks but I’m still not smoking so I’m definitely getting there!3 months now, I don’t ever want to smoke again because quitting is soo hard but worth it! I have never been soo sick tired and miserable 😖 but 3 months in, my days are much much better. The cravings got worse around 6 to 10 weeks but I’m fine now .. I still miss a smoke certainly but I’m not having major issues about it anymore now. I can flick the thought straight away and not worry or feel down .. can’t say I’m benefiting health wise yet but probably am on the inside. It just doesn’t show or feel like it yet... I have been very ill since starting this journey but I’m glad I’m sticking to it .. I read when I really have an urge for a ciggy or drink orange juice to not feel like one any more x

Hi Mandy.....at 3mths you are just about out of the woods. It is first 90 days that is the killer. Stick to it and what i found good for urges is the old listerine mouth wash....gargle for minute and do not rinse mouth. Steve and me are just on 18 mths quit now and this idea helped us. Cravings will become very minimal now for you....take it from me. Cheers.

Oh Mandy that's so awesome to hear you are doing well. I have been following you since you put your first post up. So proud of you that you have fought off that devil & stuck to your guns even when you were at your worst. Good for you!

I'm 70 days smoke free. It hasn't been bad for me, guess I am just one of the lucky ones but can't say it's been easy. There are still many days when I could easily light one up & some days worse than others. Christmas was extremely hard, & I actually had a depressing day. I think it was more the point of missing the things I did whilst having a cigarette more than the cigarette itself but I got through it & then found NYE a breeze.

You are doing so well, I hope you've been rewarding yourself. I buy myself little gifts I would not normally have done before but I look at them & say to myself, "Damn woman, you deserve this little treat" & I don't even feel guilty buying it 😀😀
