Champix
Last night I took my first Champix which is 0.5mg. After 40 minutes I started feeling strange. I took my blood pressure and it spiked through the roof with a rapid heart beat. I am on prexum 4mg and Ridaq 12.5mg. I felt horrible and decided not again I will rather go gold turkey than experience this again. Today I am tired and not feeling myself. BP back to narmal. Any suggestions?
Hello, I have been hearing a lot of Champix, I live in Mexico, and that is something that perhaps doesn't even exist here. So I went cold turkey as you call it. But after reading a lot that is the best way to quit, you will have two or three hard weeks, but after that, it will get easier. Be strong and put yourself in Gods hands.
Steve, my husband has no side effects, for he is not taking any chronic medication. I on the other hand take medication for hypertension, which caused the reaction. I think it is 1 out of 100/1000 that get elevated blood pressure from champix. Unfortunately I am one of them. So I will rather go cold turkey and get it over and one with. Done it before and will do it again.
