Train your mind to not dwell on cigarette thoughts

When the initial angry 😤 cravings die down after a period of time then the odd thoughts creep in unexpectedly. I needed to train my mind to quickly change the subject in my head by reading a magazine 📚or anything to distract me. I found that dwelling on the cigarette thoughts was an unhelpful 👎 strategy. 814 days now an very very occasionally the unexpected thought still pops in.

Hi Dobbin, you seemed to have nailed the quit smoking thing, Congratulations on your quit. I'm a newbie, former 35/day smoker and coffee drinker. I am now into my sixth day of the quit smoking journey using two patches and a lozenge, seems to work for me.
Good luck.
Kind regards
Anthony
