- 10 days :D
10 days :D

The days have been getting easier
Day 6 - Last night way by far my worst ever sleep!! I was up and down all night... Tossing and turning.. I honestly thought I was going to get a great sleep because I was so tired... My day wasn’t too bad though, it was alright. I was very tired but didn’t seem to get snippy with anyone.
Day 7 - Things are starting to seem a lot easier now, I have made the first milestone, a week without any sort of nicotine. I’m very proud of myself. Today I went out and visited mum & dad who smoke (which I have avoided all week because I didn’t want to be around any other smokers other than my partner) so I'm starting to feel okay about being around smokers again without feeling the urge.
Day 8 - What an awful sleep I had last night. Up every few hours unsure why I am still not sleeping right, its 8 days since I quit and sleep is something I am really struggling with. No other cravings or other symptoms though which I suppose is a bonus, but god I would love a good nights sleep!
Day 9 - Another terrible sleep.. I was more irritable today and just wanted to curl up and cry. I think this may be due to not much sleep though? I have started to get a blocked nose so I’m hoping I’m not getting the flu. My sense of smell and taste is so much better I had a headache majority of today. I started my fitness challenge with mum last night which I think may be a great help as
Day 10 - I only woke up twice through the night. But when I did wake I struggled to return to sleep. I have still got my flu like symptoms, runny nose, head cold like symptoms, coughing up a lot of gunk, and a tickle in my throat, I hope I'm not getting the flu.
I have decided I am going to buy some new pillows and hope that helps me sleep. Because this is getting beyond a joke. I’m thinking it may be the champix? Anyone else been on the champix and struggled to sleep?
These will be my last daily updates and will probably only do weekly or fortnightly updates from here on unless I have a big struggle and need some advice.
I smoked 25+ smokes a day for 10 years and now none for 10 days, its been easier then expected.
This weekend will be tough though, first time drinking since I quit, AFL Grand Final, common tigers :D
Any tips when having your first night drinking after quitting?
Was only meant to be a short post turned into a story.. Sorry :)

I am also 9 days quitter. I really like your daily draft.
Just to tell you that i have also felt the same about drinking with out ciggie. And i tried last sunday and yeah it is still great. And i didnt not have craving cause i surround myself with non smokers at that time. I hope you will like it.

I thought people may get sick of my daily entries lol
I think I'm just going to start off with just a few with the game and see how I go, I doubt I will crave a smoke as I've been so good with it all
Thanks heaps for your comment!

I love the daily blog too, I'm only starting today so I see light at the end of the tunnel when reading your blog. Best of luck, hope you dont smoke :-)

Well I may have to keep the daily blog going for a little bit, just didn't want to annoy people :)
I'm glad you see light at the end of the tunnel when you read this, makes me happy knowing I'm helping someone :)

Hey Red,
yes I am going to keep the daily posts it has really been helpful :)
I believe it is the champix keeping me awake the headaches have eased so I think that was withdrawals but I'm ust taking each day as it comes :)
