Last cigarette
Well I am just about to have my last cigarette. It is 9.30pm over here in Western Australia and I can't wait for that last cigarette to be smoked and it will be over. Reading other people's stories, struggles and successes is helping me so much as, like many, I have quit many times before. Unlike other times, this time I feel a sense of joy and enthusiasm in anticipation of being free. I am going cold turkey.
Thanks Steve - yeah those first two stories were from two years ago! I have already let myself down today so am even more determined for Wednesday as I am staying at my mother's for three days and she is very much against smoking. Feeling a bit blah about myself today. My usually supportive son said he had no faith in me quitting so I went straight to the shop and bought fags. Sometimes I hate myself!
Hi again, Steve, I've decided to still keep today as my quit day despite having smoked. I will simply quit later in the day!
