Day 62

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 4 Aug 2017

I'm on Day 62. Yay!

Not smoking is now a pretty "normal" part of my life, however I still want one. Sometimes, I want one BAD.

I'm still chewing Nicotine gum like it's going out of fashion, and want to be off Nicotine completely by November. Hopefully well before then, but that's my goal.

I'm getting nervous approaching Spring & Summer - my favourite thing to do when I finished work was to come home, sit on the balcony in the sun with my favourite book, a beer & a cigarette. I'm nervous that I won't be able to enjoy myself as much without the cigarette. I'm nervous that I'll relapse.

I'm confident, but at the same time I don't entirely trust myself.

It's still very hard - but very much worth it!

Hang in there! Have you ever heard a non smoker say they would love to light up, to have a drag, to smoke a cigarette. Probably not. Why? We know the answer. Never suffered the indignation of the need to submit to the craving. Simple. We do the same but realise the craving is never far away from us. But heck, no to the craving means no...

I am on 60 days. But I went cold Turkey. Stick with it. My wife still smokes and I just love the fact that I don't. And you'll enjoy that beer and book just a much as always if not more. Cause you will be able to smell nature and really taste the liquid gold. :-)
