Almost at my goal
I am at 28 days today quitting cold turkey. My goal was to just make it to 30. And then to 60 and so on and so on. I havent really had alot of issues with staying quit. Ive had the cravings that come and go very quickly. I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have continually/ daily had a very tight feeling in my chest and its kept me from wanting to start the process over again. Ive almost save 200 dollars and have goals to take my daughter for a spa day soon to come after she is settled with her new school. For the ones that are looking to see if it gets easier it does. I have a roommate who still smokes and every morning I listen to him cough and hack and it reminds me of how I used to spend every morning. How I wake up every morning and can breathe. How I can taste food on a whole new level and smell like Ive never smelled before. (sometimes its not so great) My perfume lasts on my clothes longer. I dont have as much dust in my house as I did before. I recently moved from one apt to another and when I took my paintings off the wall to see how yellowed they were after a few years of me smoking inside just made me think how bad my lungs must look! I keep reminding myself that I am fairly young and have a lot of life left to live. I believed that smoking made me cool it relieved my tension. When in all reality it was just another vice taking hold of my life and holding me back from what I really needed in life. To enjoy my children and have the energy to enjoy them. So instead of giving up I say here is to the next 30 until I reach 180... then 365.

With such a positive outlook, you will achieve your goal...
I to never thought i would be where i am today coming into my 23rd month after smoking 46ish years at 60 plus a day, White Ox rollies to cold turkey.
Being a smoker never done us any positive favors, but we are able to make positive lifestyle choices now.
Just take each day as it comes and think..today was better than yesterday.

Not a heavy smoking (5 a day) but still would like to stop for good. I have done in the past. Stayed 5 years then took up the habit again, This time I want to stop again and hope to stay stopped See how my first day will go..
Wow Jenno 60 cigs a day!! I dont know what white ox rollies are? I quit cold turkey because I knew that was the only way I was ever going to be able to really do it. I knew if I wanted it id have to stick through and realize the rest of the world was going to continue their bad habit regardless of my choice. I tried to get my boyfriend to quit smoking when I did but then I realized its not his life its not his body. Its mine. Their will be smokers every where I go and the longer I go without it the easier it is to be grossed out by the smell than to crave it.

Rise and Grind, White Ox would be one of or the strongest of rolling tobaccos. In my smoking days i mixed it with light tobacco to achieve the desired taste. I too smoked rollies for about 40yrs of my total 52yrs before quitting nearly 14 mths ago. The cravings and urges now are very ,very minimal and also the savings both financial and healthwise are very beneficial. My advice is ride out the first few rough weeks and months because it WILL get easier .One MUST be strong otherwise just a waste of time. Cheers and Good Luck.
