Tried everything!!

I have been smoking for 13 years. I am 25. I have tried champix, patches, gum, hypnosis, e ciggarettes, strips and going cold turkey. I am now 5 months pregnant and more determined than ever to quit. I smokes through my other 2 pregnancies and hated myself for it. Giving it my all!!!!

Hi Alex91. I really hope you have a plan and that you won't come back here in another 25 years to tell us that you have been smoking for 38 years. Easier to quit now than later. That is a lie. It is not easy to quit. Just if you do it sooner than later you will be able to see the benefits financially and health wise. Your baby won't think you stink either. Then there are so many other reasons to quit that read like a bucket list. Trust me, after 776 days smoke free cold turkey I have thought of a few as have others who have dared to persist and venture down this trail.

Hi Alex
Oh dear, I just imagine the daily shame when smoking with a baby bump.. Everyone is blaming you, all are looking at you as you are weak and harming your baby.. And well, they are not wrong with it...
What I think is that you must be aware of the huge stigma and your shame when you stop smoking. Imagine the amazing moments, when you do not have the cravings and you do not have to sneak out in order to avoid any pregnant smoking comments... Imagine how great that will be...
So and there we are, you have enough reasons to stop and that will make you stronger to do it... The first days are taff, but remember every ciggi less is helping...
I fortunately stopped just 2 month before getting pregnant, but I can assure you that it is the best thing I have ever done. It was really, really taff... But it is possible...
So go for it...
