Hello everyone, today is officially 12mths quit for me. Ready reckoner shows i have saved just over $11000 dollars......all the more reason to persist with quitting. I feel better than when i smoked but it is a very long and hard road and one must stay on track, as one slip up and you are gone. Urges have basically disappeared but still get the odd temptation. However the urge lasts only for 1 minute....in my case. Nice to go out and buy things you really need and not waste on that terrible habit. Not easy but the longer you can go and set your mind it does get easier and easier. All the very best to everyone on this site. Cheers.

Hi Steve, thanks mate Yes it is unbelievable to reach this far at first attempt after 52yrs . Tell you what though, it is bl####y worth it and the money you save and enjoy on other things is a reason to quit in itself. You should be close too now Steve?....we almost joined together. Anyway mate temptations still come and go but as you know by now they are minimal and do not last long.Anyway bye for now and i look forward to reading your post soon Steve....Cheers.

That is right Red. I did not quit with the intention to save money. My sole reason was for health . No point in making out that you are something that you were 40 yrs ago....if you know what i mean. Smoking finds one's weak spots and believe me it one day will so up to the individual to take care.

Hi Johnnie. Great job. Achieving that first 12 months smoke free is the best ever. Do visit again and tell us how you are enjoying the ride.
