"No Lighter"

Hi everyone, the other day was out shopping. The back stairway entrance to the shops is a meeting point for smokers......smoking illegal by the way in that area. Noticed a fellow rolling his own and was the only one there at the time. As he frisked through his pockets he looked at me and asked if i had a light. The joy i had from saying "sorry i don't smoke" was unreal.I do not judge people who smoke but had i not been "quit" would have been there puffing away as well. Stay quit and try hard as it is worthed. Cheers.

Well done Johnnie. I completely understand how you feel. I often see people who have to go outside (or somewhere) to smoke and I think ' that used to be me' and I'm soooooooooooo glad and relieved that it's in my past.
It sure is worth it, we are free , we are champions.
Cheers :D

Hi Johnnie. A good reminder for all of us. Being with other smokers can be a deadly trap or simply a reminder of where we were and no longer want to be. You have truly seen the light. Not the lighter...

Hi Lia, yes you are so right. However i feel comfortable around smokers honestly, there is no urge. My biggest problem has always been and still is "the habit"....very hard to shrug off. After almost 1 yr i still seek the smokes habitually but with no urge. Strange, i know but that is me.My wife sometimes still asks "where you off to?" as i am about to step outside. I then realise i do not smoke anymore. Does that make sense? Anyway a habit is better than a practice. Cheers.
