Hi All

What can i say. Had it with smoking and done day 1 busy day 2. Must admit that so far so good. In the weeks leading up to yesterday there was various thing I tried.

I identified my major smoking times. Then I started "quitting". Like I would not smoke in the morning with my coffee before I leave to go to work. Or smoke only until I get home and then nothing until the next day. etc etc.

The one that I just could not get past was my morning drive to work. Last weekend I stopped smoking from Friday morning. But Monday morning first thing on my way to work I got some smokes.

I joined iCanQuit this week and gave me the guts to try again this week.

Well I drove to work yesterday morning and today without stopping. :-). And my motto now, saw it on the site somewhere NOPE!!!.

Have a wonderful smokeless weekend.

Hey Busbfk,

Welcome to the NOPE club haha.

Your plan sounds very solid. Whilst it isn't always easy, it can be achieved and you're doing really well.

A big yay go me as each day passes is helpful also because it's definitely something to be proud of.

Hi Busbfk. You seem so determined to succeed. You have looked at your weak moments. Don't treat your car like it is an ashtray on wheels. I did. My convertible had so much tar on the window and roof. Not funny. As you start to save $'s start thinking about your next set of wheels. Just don't smoke in your car. It is not something a buyer may want in years to come if the interior smells and looks like an ashtray. Each cigarette costs over $1. I have saved ove $16000 in 2 years and a week. That would have gone up in smoke in an ash tray. So get serious and decide where you will invest your savings. And enjoy knowing that you will be alive to reap the rewards.

Thank you all for the encouraging words. And no bad cravings as yet. And day 2 is nearly over. :-)

Well done Busbfk. NOPE was my mantra when I started quitting....it was so helpful. It's been 13 months since I had my last cig.

Keep it up, stay focused ....you can do this.

Cheers :D
