Hi Everyone

I have quit before for a year. But used patches. This time determined and cold turkey.Came across this site and thought I would join for the support instead of going it alone.
I'm feeling great but week 2 noticing some frustrations. Not sleeping easy etc.

Only way to go cold turkey.I have smoked for 56 years and I also went cold turkey.no smokes for 12 days and each day gets easier. Just make sure you really want to do this. Read a book written by Allen Carr, go to itune and download it, It really help me a lot......best of luck

Expect to have a few niggling 'symptoms'. Your body has been functioning on a mixture of different chemicals and has come to allow for that nicotine hit in the mix. When it is removed from the system, it takes a while for the body's natural chemicals to work out how to fill the gap.
Rest assured the mix will turn out to be much better, but you'll need to give it some time. Until it works itself out, make sure you are eating well and getting a good dose of exercise each day.
A few sleep-ruffled nights are still a good trade-off for not poisoning oneself :)

Hi Stephy,
Firstly a big welcome 😃
Congratulations on deciding to quit and I admire
anyone who can quit cold turkey.
Hopefully you can draw on your first Quit experience and build from there.
Take care.
