feeling like a new person...

I have been a smoker sense i was 13, i am now 30 and although i have been thinking about quitting for years i have just recently decided it was finally the time. I have been smoke free for almost 8 days and although i do feel fantastic i also feel somewhat like a very different person, to adjust and shift so many years of destructive structure is hard but i am oh so proud of myself and it is an amazing achievement....I absolutely love this site and can see how positively helpful it can be for struggling quitters. good luck to all who are quitting and stay strong. the beauty of being able to simply breathe is beautiful.

Hello and welcome Magdalena. Congrats on making the decision to quit, you are on your way now. Remember, small steps, 1 day at a time and stay focused. I also smoked for over 30 years and have recently celebrated my 1st year anniversary since my quit day. It sure is the best feeling...keep up the good fight.

Cheers :D

Hi Magdalena and welcome!

Wow 8 days free is fantastic and something to be very proud of.

Congrats and I'd love to hear how you're going from time to time.

Flora is right, one day at a time and then before you know it they can turn into week, months and years 😃
