Well I was smoke free for 29 days and then fell of my perch,so dissapointed with myself....Will start again tomorrow because I so much want to give up and win this battle...

Things happen and i know for a fact that quitting cold turkey is much more challenging. Try again dear don't giver up.

Hi so dissapointed with myself and feeling down....had 3 cigs and have no more in house what was left wet them and throw away....better luck tomorrow cold turkey again...thanks for carring

When I first learned to ride a bike I fell flat on my face, but it didn't stop me from learning how. This is a learning process and we all are doing this, we are learning how to do this. A week or so ago I came too close to smoking, was even standing in line for a pack. As far as I'm concerned your slate is wiped clean and you can just hop right back on this wagon as if nothing has happened at all. I'm offering my hand out to help you back on. You are one of the super elite players and we cannot afford to lose you. Follow Flora's post it helped me, same thing happened to her.

I'm with you Homebody. I slipped up too and am starting again today cold turkey. I'm so cross with myself too for finding this so hard. But we can do this we absolutely can !

Cesca keep in touch we can do this together...my down fall was I had cigs in the house but no more...I want so much to beat this and I will!!!I will use a patch for a few days then I will go cold turkey again because I think cold turkey is the way to go, and if I think I am going to fall of my perch I will put a patch on instead of lightings a cig....eat plenty of fruit when you have craving I found that helped kept my hands busy peeling a apple or orange....best of luck

Hi Homebody,
I can understand your disappointment but I agree, dust yourself off and don't look back. Do what works best for you and I'm sure you're going to be fine x

Thanks kim26 I feel good tonight am back on track and happy that I am just going to keep on trying...I will beat this...Have decided to use the patch for a few days then go cold turkey again and if the cravings are too bad will put a patch on instead of lighting a cig...thanks for carring x

Hi Homebody,
That's the spirit!! I'm glad you have a plan and are going cold turkey again. I hope you don't need the patch for too long but if it means it's going to help you to not light up then that's completely fine. I used a patch and I was okay with that. Meaning, I knew I couldn't go cold turkey with all what was going on in my life so it was more about not smoking for me over anything else. I'm just about off all NRT now but so far I've beaten being smoke free and I'll take that over smoking any day x

So utterly fantastic to have this great place to come to give....and get....support. You can do this!

It is a great site everybody is willing to help on good and bad days...I hope you are having a smoke free day!! ....Good luck
