Day 250- Ah, It has such a nice ring to it!

I'd like to thank my kids for not leaving home or reporting me to human services , my friends for still being my friends and not completely abandoning me ( though for their safety there were times that they ducked) and my boss for not firing me even when I told her I hated my job. ( insert round of applause here) ... Hehe I'm just joking - I'm practicing my one year quit smoking speech..
I.m so pleased and happy to be at the 250 day mark.
** I'm free **
I know that's only 2 words there but those two words are so uplifting. I am free from ruining my health, free of the addiction, the stench, the ridiculous money spending, standing in the cold and rain, being an outcast, - I am free from so many negative actions that it feels like an anchor has been removed and I am now weightless and floating in a cloud of happiness. And no ,just in case you are wondering I am not on drugs, I'm simply grateful to get away from that nicotine addiction.
I remember looking at non smokers and wondering how they can sit and talk after eating a meal without having a smoke, how they could have alcohol and no smoke, how they could be in fresh air and not smoke!
I am now one of them and its really easy to be on their side of the fence (much more enjoyable too!)
To all of you newbies please stick to your guns, keep being stubborn because it is so worth it on the other side

And it smells better! Congratulations on your new milestone. Welcome to the land of the living...

Congrats to you cranky I have watched and listened to you with my fingers crossed for you all the way

Hi all well I’m on day 7 after 40 yrs of smoking. 1st time of giving up and last. I’m struggling with cravings however I’m determined to get there. Happy to hear any helpful hints and tips. Have had a session of hypnotherapy and trying to believe it’s helping.
Great to be able to logon and ready some inspiring stories. My aim is to tell my story as an achiever
