"Still on track"

Hi people , been a while since i posted . Hope everyone coping as good as they can. Today it is 222 days for me. I can honestly say the urges are very rare and pass within 5 mins. Watching people smoke does not bother me, however my old habits with smokes very hard to break. Still have the odd quarter lozenge from time to time but that is better than poison going into your system. I do feel better although i felt worse when i quit but that is normal. Remember, each day becomes easier and before you know it , thoughts on smoking disappear. You learn to live without the smokes, but it takes perserverance and discipline. Anyway you all try to stay strong especially the newbies. Cheers.

Good to know you are so determined. Isn't it a bonus to us when upon waking up, our feet can hit the floor running and that does not involve a cigarette. After 630 something days, it is so liberating. I get to make decisions instead of succumbing to an addiction. Good to know there are others who are long term quitters.

Hey Johnnie, well done to you! Perseverance and discipline sum it up so well. A bit of sass and stubbornness goes a long way too. It's such a feeling of freedom isn't it? I'm so pleased I stuck it out through the tough times. Congrats to u.

Thankyou Cranky and congratulations to you too for battling through the tough times we have endured and continue to do. Just have to LIVE without them which is better than NOT LIVING with them. Cheers and all the best.

Johnnie, a major congrats to you on your achievement.
I am a smoker who doesn't smoke no more....
On your date of your posting 26th Feb became my 17 months of no smoking..
So stay focused, determined, positive and stubborn and we will achieve and maintain our goal..
Hi 5s to you.

Well done mate! I love reading everybody's success stories. By the way what's a quarter lozenge?

Hi Bexactly, a 4mg nrt lozenge tablet broken into 4 pieces with a sharp knife. That is my term for a quarter lozenge.
Cheers.

Well done Johnnie 👍 Your words give me strength , encouragement and the belief that I too am able to continue with my quit journey with success. I'm into day 60 and find that yes I do think of cigs but not as often as previously. Keep the posts coming as it gives us newbies the will to continue knowing that there is light st the end of the tunnel.

Hi 5s to you.

My 2nd day of quitting, after a "slip-up"! Quit for 7 days recently, but then went back on them! Argh! It is so strange not having a smoke in the morning! I'm not sure if I've really woken up!Have smoked more of my life than I haven't, and I am so nervous (without them !?!)) I could buy some smokes today when I go food shopping, but I'm going to try not to; I will save $100...but even that doesn't make me feel good/excited.! Seemed easy a week or two ago, not it is like pushing shit uphill. Will probably try to spend the $100 to (force(?!)) myself to not have them until I get paid again next Tuesday..Hope everyone else is going well! I wish they'd bloody ban them(?!)..that would solve everything! Xoxo
