Day 17 (((SHOCKING)))

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 1 Feb 2017

Day 17 has been a desperate day. Even with the aid of patches & an inhaler.. shockingly it has taken every fibre of my being to stay in control of this & not let it control me. I am hoping for a much better day tomorrow.

Sorry to hear that your day 17 has been so difficult for you. Hopefully you got through it ok. You're right about the control. You are now in control, not the cigarettes, remind yourself of that every time you find it tempting. 17 days is a great achievement. I'm on 11 and very happy with that. Such a long way to go though and the thought of a cigarette pops into my mind regularly, but if I distract myself even a little bit, that thought passes. It's weird because I hate the smell, I dislike the taste, yet the thoughts keep coming. I refuse to let them control me ever again, even at the risk of gaining a few unwanted kilo's!

Wow day 17.....how good is that..you are doing great..

It is very natural what you are going through..its your body craving Nicotine that you have deprived your body from, keep yourself busy and have different thoughts to take your mind off the craves....

Stop and think why you gave up smoking and stay focused on that reason..

You can do it..stay positive n determined on your journey.
