Brought forward my quit day

Smoked my last cig at 8am this morning, and decided to start my journey today instead of tomorrow. Didn't want to go buy another pack & try to smoke them all before tomorrow (wouldn't be able to throw them away) so, I'm on my way. First day but so far so good.

Well done Jude. I was meant to give up yesterday but I still had smokes left. Like you I don't want the stress of buying them anymore. I had my last smoke at 10pm last night 21/1 . I have been extremely tired today and didn't crave too much. I hope I can stay strong at work tomorrow where all smokers are. One day at a time No more excuses. Hope you are successful also.

Thanks Winner....all went well today, ate more than I normally would. Unusual for me is having a bowl of ice cream with a banana and chopped nuts right before bedtime. I think because that's been the usual time for me to have my last gasper each day. Had to have something :). Luckily there are only a few people at work who smoke, & I don't normally take a break, so that shouldn't bother me. BUT, I go home every day at lunchtime & that's when I've been having 2 or 3 cigs in a short time. Tomorrow will be a test & I'm determined to pass. One day at a time. Stay strong tomorrow.....keep thinking of all the reasons you want to quit.

Got past lunchtime, usually a 3 fag 45min break. Went home, saw my dogs, set them up inside cos it's so hot here today (Bairnsdale, Vic). Read my mail, had a quick drag on my e-cig but probably didn't really need to, then back to work. I'll try to drink more water rather than reaching for food...

Hi Judes,
Water is a fantastic "go-to" when craving a ciggie. Somehow it seems to relax them after a bit... Keep a water bottle handy and post here often.
Good luck :o)
