4 weeks in

So ive reached 4 weeks...its not that long compared to some of the stories ive read, however im bloody proud of myself. There are still cravings but with my trusty friend "nic" (spray) in my pocket ive learnt to cope with the cravings. Back at the gym...more energy...more time. Has anyone else who has quit found the taste of certain things different? For example...i cant drink coffee anymore i find the taste harsh now ive quit. Anyway.. next goal 3 months

Hi Sarge, welcome to this page and thank you for sharing your 1st story with us about your journey into 4 weeks.
My 16 months is no more important than your 4 weeks, yes I have been there just like a few others on this site, so well n truely know what its like to reach 1 day, 1 week etc, so we know what the major personal achievements we have done to get where we are now.
Getting to the 1st month is the biggest personal challenge, with many changes in our new lifestyle....so yes.....you should be bloody proud of yourself.

Thanks jenno. Theres no one around me that smokes so writing a few posts on here helps. I know everyone here has or is going through the same challenges as myself.

Its great to be able to share our experiences, the highs n lows.
I find for me now that 1 day blends into the other but with a crave now n again, plus I reach over to grab a non existent smoke occasionally, but after smoking 45ish years, the habit was well in truely imbeded in me.
But just take 1 day at a time and watch the $$$$ savings mount up is a great incentive.

Hey, congrats on 4 weeks. Before you know it, it will be 4 months then years will roll by. Keep up the awesome work :)

Hi Sarge, I had some issues with food, especially red meat, I couldn't eat it for weeks, even the smell of it made me feel ill. Some foods also tasted really weird for a while too. It passes though so you'll be back on the coffee before you know it..
good luck

Thanks cranky. Im actually getting used to not having coffee. With the hot weather water has replaced coffee. Probably drink between 3 and 4 litres a day....the body feels much more ready to go with water on board.

Hi, Im nearly 4 weeks quit, but coffee is foul now. I used to love a coffee or 5 a day, I could drink coffee before I went to bed and sleep still. Now it tastes awful, I can't even finish a cup. Tea is refreshing for me now though not to mention the boring ole water.

Wow its exactly the same for me too drama. I could have a coffee before bed and sleep fine....ive gone from 5 or 6 coffees a day to 1 or 2 teas and water.
