Where is the lighter when you need it...

So Christmas day has rolled around again. Need to light the candles. So where is the lighter? I know it was somewhere around here a year ago. Took some serious searching, but found it eventually. That was done and then the lunch menu started to roll out. How amazing to be able to taste those Tiger prawns and the steamed Banana prawns. Tasted even better than last year. Can't recall when food actually tasted so good. Every ingredient had a story to tell and a taste to enjoy. Just know there must be some others out there who have seen the light and are now tasting their food. It used to be texture alone. So good to rediscover what I have not been able to enjoy for over 45 years. Am now 575 days smoke free. Nearly $12 000 saved from the ashtray. Hope there will be some bleary eyes and ongoing quitters sharing tomorrow.

Hi Lia, merry xmas. Yes you are right the food and especially the xmas cake tasted a lot better to me than previous. Biggest problem was putting up with friends and family of mine that continue to smoke. Anyway i pulled up ok although there was a couple of times i desired to join the smoke signals, but said to myself nearly 6 mths quit now why chuck it in? So , now the journey continues and hope everyone on this site remains strong to temptations. Cheers.
Hi Lia, happy new year. You outdid me on Christmas Day- I couldn't find a lighter anywhere. I still get cravings and the occasional dream but I can't believe it's over 500 days for me too. Hang in there people. It's worth it as it does get easier.
