Starting Champix again
so I am starting champix again today for the 2nd time in my life. I used the full course (3 months) about 2 years ago and quit, I found it quite easy, only small side effects. God knows why but I started smoking about 5 months ago and gradually slipped back to 10-12 per day. I hate it, I lie to my partner and only smoke at work and when I'm out. I have covering up the smell by spraying dederant, washing my fingers and eating mints and sweets on the way home. I wear a patch at the weekends. I've been meaning to get the tablets for about a month. I ordered them online yesterday and they said they would take 5-7 days to arrive, but they arrived today and it felt like Christmas, I am so ready to start quitting. So much so I am fast tracking the first week by having 2 x 0.5 tabs today and same tomorrow then I'm going straight onto the 2x 1 tabs from Saturday.
p.s some advice for people who cough loads during the first couple of weeks, this is due to the hairs from your throat to lungs growing back and being sensitive to air. Smoking hardens these up somewhat
