Day 5
I have been a smoker from last 13 years, about 10 a day from last 9 years.
I have tried multiple times and terribly failed. When ever I decided to quit, within 30 mins my cravings would go so high that I could not resist and give up.
I had promised myself that I would quit after my daughter's birth but nope, i did not(could not go more than 2 hours) and from the last 2.5 years I have been trying hard and failing badly.
And I could not even go less than 10 a day too no matter how hard I tired.
I am 32 now and was feeling like 50, tired all day, not eating properly, no interest in anything (ofcourse loved to smoke:) ) and it was high time i had to do something.
I visted the doctor and got champex on 7/9/16, started taking it on 8/9/16 and continued the same way till 9/9/16.
Used to smoke normally for these 2 days and at about 11:30PM I ran out of cigs ( I was drunk too, pretty badly). That's when I decided I will not buy cigs and try to control as long as possible(you know you take stupid decisions when drunk).
And here I am on Day 5 without a smoke and I am sure that I will not pick up one again.
I cannot believe myself that I am on Day 5 without a smoke and the urge to smoke is gone.
Day 1 was ok, I was confident - mostly beacuse I kept telling myself I am on champex and that will help me get through. ( I used to walk by the folks who used to smoke, to smell it)
Day 2 - No issues, day went by smooth.
Day 3 - Was tough, cravings hit me badly, I drank a lot of water, walked a lot, went and shopped which makes me happy. Got through the day
Day 4 - No issues - Went through easily.
Day 5 - Feeling confident than ever that I will not smoke.
P.S I am using champex, and it's a wonder drug with only 0.5mg in your body, it kicks the nicotine devil out from your mind and body. Haven't experienced any side effects.
After all getting drunk and taking decisions is not stupid though!!

Well done Only one way to look and that's forward and only one way to go and that's forward as well. The past is irrelevant. Create the life you want, remain positive and strong and set small goals to lead you to the big ones. You are going really well.

Fantastic work, 5 days is brilliant. Keep vigilant, ensure you have things to keep you occupied and distractions aplenty. I keep sugar free gum on me and in my car at all times, just in case. I need them less and less but it's a good safety net. Keep up the great work, some days will be amazing and others will feel less so but you've made the best decision of your life, for your life. Keep posting and letting us know how you're getting on.
