Today I have reached 100 days, this is such a big milestone for me. It has not been easy, especially living with smokers, and my best friends are all still smoking. i still feel like having a smoke at times. Just shows how strong the addiction is. I still take each hour/day one at a time. I am in some ways really surprised as I didn't actually think I could do it, but here is the proof. I credit using this site as my main distraction in the early days as one of the main aids in keeping me off the cigarettes, you guys with your wonderful supportive posts, sometimes funny sometimes sad, but always honest stories of your own rocky journey. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and give each of you a hug for your help and for being there for me when I needed you most. I know I couldn't have done it with you all. To all the new members of this site, I truly think I was one of the worst addicted smokers, an absolute barking case first few days, having smoked since I was 13 years old, now nearly 60. I have never coped with anything with out a cig in my hand or mouth. All my family, and close friends are smokers and they have not really understood what I was dealing with and their idea of supporting was to tell me "you have done well and proved a point - so just have a smoke" or omg just go get a smoke you are being psycho lol so if I can do it so can you.

Hi Chezzel. Massive congratulations. Great to hear you are doing so well and over to the bright side. Getting through those first 100 days is a big big deal and for a smoker a small miracle.

Well done, congratulate yourself with something special like chocolate. I am a similar age and a little further on with my quit. On this site we are all winners.

Hey Chezzel, sorry been off the site for a few days so catching up no (should be working but it's Friday afternoon, so pft to them). You've got to 100 days, I don't know why you're surprised, I knew you could do it. I had every faith in you from your first post. We're a team, all of us on here, we're here to pep each other up, support, send virtual hugs and to help celebrate when one of us reaches a milestone (I don't mean your age :)). You're brilliant. Hugs x

Hi All , I'm at day 10 on champix , I'm down to about 5 smokes a day now from 20+ , I takemy tab in the morning just before I have brekky and I find I'm not nauses , the last 2 nights the dreams have been a bit vivid and wierd , as for not sleeping much that I'm used to as I haven't had a good sleep since March 7th ( I had a work accident and since then had 2 opps on shoulder ) , I need to stop smoking before I get back to work.

I might just also say , last weekend I went for a beach walk (Palm Beach ) and throughly enjoyed it until I had to get back up to the car park , walking up the sand ramp I had to stop 3x to get my breath I was actually gasping for air and it scared the shite out of me , so I am glad I have started champix .

Just come on board have quit and restarted so many times in te past would love to finally quit once and for all. On NRT patches having trouble sleeping at night, feel like I have got asthma and my dreams are weird and vivid. Does it get any easier if so when? My trouble is when I drive or travel interstate I am away from my support group
