I hate it when...

I was at the store just before buying a few things and I decided to buy some chocolate to help combat my cigarette cravings during the 1st few days of my quit and the young shop assistant girl commented on me buying chocolates like as if i was being bad.. i kindly told her my situation with quiting smokes and how im struggling and need somthing to help, then her response was "its easy, just dont start" and kind of rolled her eyes. Is it just me being terrible but i nearly lost control of my temper. Good news is i didnt and just giggled like an idiot and walked out. I hate ignorant people like this

Always best to walk away from people who have never smoked making judgemental comments like that. I think it's appalling that she pased comment, how dare she. Anyway, sod 'em, they can never understand what you've been through to stop and I think you're brilliant for stopping. I also think that she should go and pickle her head!!!! :), which makes me not a very nice person but I empathise with how far you've come I'm proud that you turned to chocolate and not cigs. These idiots will always be around and it was a good test. Keep your chin up and keep posting.

I've tried before and I'm trying again. God please give me the strength I need to quit forever.

Linda, try reading Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking. If nothing else it will help your mindset. You can continue to smoke while you read it. It helped me no end.

Thanks WhiteWillow..
Linda I agree with Whitewillow, i read the book and it is brilliant, helps a lot. But im also doing champix.

On my 46 day of being smoke free.Non smokers do not understand.I believe nicotine has something in it that helps smokers deal with the stupity that comes out of people mouth.Glad you walked out.You will be doing that alot.Good luck.
