Hi all, 47 days now and holding on. Put myself to the test the other day at local club. Entered area designed only for smokers. Stood near a group of 4 guys happily chatting away and drawing on their smokes. To my amazement, i was there for about 10 minutes and felt no urge to smoke, actually i neede to get iut if there quick cayse the actual smell was starting to give me a tight uncomfortable throat effect. I felt that my efforts and ambitions were beginning to take shape for the better. Hope everyone's journey on this site is as easy as possible too. n.b. please do not try the test until you really feel you are ready.....Cheers.

Not sure I would relish the risk Jonnie. As the saying goes " if you visit the barber enough times sooner or later you will get a haircut " lol

Hi Dobbin, i appreciate your comment on the "barber" however i will not be congregating with smokers if i can help it as the smell (while on the quit) does cause your throat to feel like you have a tennis ball stuck there. This is enough to deter me from internal smoking areas . Cheers.

Hi Johnnie. It seems there are smokers everywhere. I didn't appreciate how much I was annoying others when I was smoking. Like you I am really appreciative of the fact that I do not engage in the habit any more. Didn't mean to sound smug just concerned for us all.

Dobbin, no worries , the comment did'nt upset me at the least. I myself am a straight shooter when it comes to comments. That is how it needs to be on this site. Good luck and make it for the "year". Cheers.
