Hi all, I have been away a little bit but it is good to see everuone's stories. I am so proud of all of you keep going and keep sharing as it gets us through the difficult days.

I have been quit for 70 days cold turkey after 30 odd years of smoking. It hasn't been easy but worth it. I'm glad the emotional roller coaster is now behind me ( I hope) and the cravings / thoughts are minimal and a lot easier to control and dismiss. The breathing and the rapid heart rate are now back to normal and the doctor has given me the all clear on both the lungs & heart - thank you Lord. Now I just need to concentrate on loosing the extra kilo's this journey has given me. Just take it one day at a time, lots of deep breathing, will power, water and herbal teas will get you through the cravings and of course always the remember the reasons you wanted to quit in first place.

Goodluck everyone keep going strong and keep sharing.

Hi Jano,

Very inspiring post. I look forward to what you say about it becoming easier. I'm day 26 today and the nasty cravings still creep up on me (not all the time now thank goodness) So 44 days to go to reach you!!!

Well done :o)

Hi Crasher......i am 70 days on Sunday. Yes the cravings do start to depart at this stage but the habit and sometimes an urge does linger. But, you do not get too cocky you just take it day by day . When the cravings see they are not welcome they will come less often. Hope my advice gives you and others the courage to go on. Cheers.
