No more feeling like an outcast

Hi. For over 10 years now in the UK the public have jumped on the " lets dehumanise the smoker " bandwagon. The 4x4 drivers spewing out thousands of tons of carbon monoxide are at the forefront of complainers and Hippocrates. That was my stance on rationalising my smoking. Looking back I felt like a 2nd class citizen for years. Thankfully it helped me quit. All this plus health deterioration, financial burdens , family pressures etc gave me the impetus needed to quit. Thank you " icanquit " for assisting and all those who have regularly posted. I am nearly a year cigarette free and it's one of the best presents I have ever given myself.

It's amazing really what excuses we can make and how we can justify almost anything... On another note I had to fill out a form today and it asked if I was a smoker, I ticked No and that felt fabulous.

Hi Dobbin, always good to see someone who has survived the longer journey to quitting. It gives power and reassurance to everyone on his site to hang in there and persevere. Have followed your posts and like everyone else want those who post to succeed. Just paves the way for everyone else. Like someone else said, it is not something you talk about with friends or family, face to face, certainly not at length. Affirmation from fellow quitters on this site is all we need. Anonymously. We remember names and journeys and feel disappointed for anyone who errs and better still, hope they return.

yeah that's funny and scary all at the same time for 30+ years I had to tell myself all sorts of BS and pretend to believe it to stay smoking.
to quit I had to lose the excuses and I am sure its not so easy for us but we have done it and are doing it so well done !!
keep up the good work.

Hi. This is day one for me
I've made a couple of attempts to quit.
I really want to. I'm hoping this will be it. Can others on here support each other please. I'd like some support from others that find it hard to quit

Fix your Marriage and relationship After a Divorce or Breakup, my husband left me with two kids. I felt like my life was about to end and I almost committed suicide, I was emotionally down for a very long time. Thanks to a spell caster called Dr Alafa, which I meet online, On one faithful day, was browsing through the internet when I came across a lot of testimonies about this particular spell caster. Some people testified that he brought their Ex lover back, some testified that he restores womb ,cure cancer and other sickness, some testified that he can cast a spell to stop divorce and so on. I also come across one particular testimony and it was about a woman called Sonia, she testified about how he brought back her Ex lover in less than 2 days and at the end of her testimony she dropped Dr Alafa email address, After reading all these, I decided to give it a try and I contacted him via email and explained my problem to him. In just 12days my husband came back to me and we solved our issues, we are even happier than before.
