17 days of non smoking. First week i pulled hair out of my head but with nrt it helps. Now cravens very minimal and i control the dosage of nrt not my brain. I have had 50yrs smoking and never tried quitting but after tests the copd alarm bells were ringing and it is not fun to smoke now. Starting to feel some changes for the better already and walking for half hr 3 times per week helps. Lets keep encouraging one another to continue on this journey irregardless of what our reasons are.

Good for you !!! keep it up:) I'm on day 19 myself & it seems to be getting a little easier. But boy oh boy I was ready to slap my doctor silly the other week when he thought he was being encouraging. In reality he was pissing me off with his "don't think about smokes, you don't need them" do you know what it is doing to your body ect ect ect.

I had to tell him in the end he was not being in least helpful & that he was really agitating me with his over the top enthusiasim & lecturing - I was ready to slap someone. But I got through it with few deep breaths & positive thoughts. I'm sure he thought I was loony tune but the time I walked out. Not giving up on giving up.

Hi jmansour, no matter who tells you or how many times you are told to stop smoking does not matter. It must come only from you and based on true reasons why you must quit smoking. Good luck keep going and keep in touch....i will too.
