Thanks icanquit for your brilliant web page. Having smoked for so long ( over 50 years ) I still find it difficult to believe I am 18 days away from my first smoke free year since I was 14.

Wow did my lungs need a break. Over £160000 worth of cigarettes passed through them.

My wife and two sons are amazed that finally I have found an answer.

Numerous anonymous sharers on this page have made the journey possible and the information and help has been brilliant.

There is no substitute to knowing that other sharers identify with the gargantuan effort it takes to quit smoking.

Fully commiting to this programme and regularly posting plus reading others posts has been the key to my current success.

Thanks again and roll on the next 18 days one day at a time

Good onya Dobbin, i am 35 days tomorrow and feel lot better and adjusting now. The habit is the culprit...but i will get the better of it. When you think of all the poison that passed through our lungs ...you do need to say a prayer and thank the Lord to help give us a second chance. Cheers for now.

Hey folks. Keep posting. This really can work. However , I am fully aware that 1 puff will put me back to where I started.

Smoking is a miserable habit and has no positives of any real value. Thanks for sharing.

Dobbin, as you say 1 puff is too many.....but we must tell ourselves why put smoke inside us for the sake of a hit...I know that i would be very regretful if i did and would be calling myself a weakling......Better to buy a nice block of chocolate or a tasty apple pie and enjoy the experience. For our well being it is best to just say no more and jump into where the grass is greener. Cheers everyone.

Hi Dobbin, I reckon you will be wishing those 18 days to be gone. After being pure and clean for nearly 15 months I reckon there is no way I would regress. I could do so easily but would hate myself. And having been so proud of my achievement there is no way I could take a backwards step. The $9250 saved from the ashtray is sitting in my bank account. Amazing... Enjoy your successes.
