Day 8 is coming to a close and on the whole I feel pretty good. I get overwhelmed a lot easier and often need to step back and just breathe deep. I have read a lot about quitting smoking and have realised that people have strong opinions on how to do it and how not to. If your using patches, lozenges, champion, hypnotism, sheer will power or E cigarettes it doesn't matter. No way is better than the other as we all have different bodies, different lives, stresses and some of us have mental health issues. You're vulnerable when your quitting and having people bang-on about their way being better and not using alternative available methods should be ignored as it can be disheartening. You should proud of yourself, whichever way you are doing this and be applauded for it... So that's my strong opinion. Rant over..

** sometimes I hate spell check it really can ruin a good rant. That's meant to say Champix not champion.

No matter what we do to stop as long as we are trying to stop.Keep up the good work.On day 12 no energy at all.My first week I was running around .Now if I do a load of washing I am ready to lay down .But my cravings are not as bad.I am not ready to give up either.

Cranky76, well said your state of mind should help on your journey. Whatever you do hang in there through the dark days, you are likely to have at least one. This forum was my lifeline during the first 100 days, keep posting it will help you and has the ability to help so many more

Thanks for the comments. Storm, just getting it off my mind and on a page really helps. This site is excellent.

Tawanda, I too have been out of control busy and wondering when it will stop. I don't want no energy, middle ground would be nice!

maybe cold turkey is optimal but to say its the only way is wrong and I agree what ever works.

no one quits and becomes a saint from quitting I know I haven't so to compare me to anyone else is not helpful to me its been a huge challenge not smoking in what else I do to make my life better and well its not easy to quit and totally have my sh$t together which I sure haven't but what have done is not had a smoke today.

some days that's enough.

well done and keep going.
