Its been awhile, I knew Id hit the 6month mark but really hadnt kept tabs on days….wow 196 days. Last week was the very first time i did think if there was anyone around me, I would have asked for a ciggie or a drag at least. Actually no I wouldnt have but the thought was definitely there. I know its not something I can ever ever do, not if I dont want another heart attack. It's a really tough road but all these stories help and also the people out there who have had a heart attack like me at a relatively young age, understand the cardiac blues. Its one day at a time and sometimes its a few hours at a time. So many things to try and get right…exercise, healthy eating, drink enough water, get enough sleep, don't stress etc etc. Then theres the obstacles, still suffering the "cardiac blues" ( yes it's a thing ) dodgy hip limiting exercise, stress at work and not to mention I NEED CHOCALATE, it fixes everything right?? I guess I will continue to count the days, read your stories and be thankful for every new day.

Hi Lynnieh, keep up the good work. Think about your health when cravings call. I am on 21days and finding it hard too....but each day off the devils is a bonus. Health is the issue with me too after smoking for 50 yrs. I look forward to reach the 6 mths you have achieved.....and keep posting as we all need to keep each other inspired.

well said :) :( there's a whole lot more to quitting than quitting and getting it all to work is and feeling better is a challenge but you are doing it and guess we learn what we need to change as we get there.

its not been a easy ride for me either but I am sure smoking wont fix anything that needs fixing.

well done and keep at it.
