carrying on again......

Well I was on my Drama Queen throne today blaming the quitting smoking for all my ailments and problems. I ranted and I raved and carried on until a friend, who was most likely fed up with me, reminded me that I had pain my foot, sinus problems and also gallstones before I quit smoking. I took a step back and realised that she was right, I am no worse off here at all, its all bonuses now. I find that we tend to focus on the negative and if like me maybe blow it out of proportion. Quitting smoking can only be helping me not the opposite, its common sense but today the old 'Woe is me' came out, it was a 'break out the violin' day today. Anyway I am back on track, feeling happy and grateful... Oh and that 'friend' - she cheekily mentioned that the medical issues might just be my age!
Oh the friends I have.......
Keep smiling and hang in there..

Ha ha ha, I like your friend and she's quite right about the ailments being there before you quit smoking. You're doing brilliantly and we all have a rant from time to time. It's not the quitting that drives us to rant, it's life! :)

Hi Cranky76. Like you I wanted to have the occasional rant and of course it was part of the withdrawals. I also found that I was talking to myself much more. I also had to give myself a telling off when driving as I wanted to road rage.
Thankfully most of this has passed with time but I needed to keep my mouth closed on more than one occasion.
Thanks for sharing
