That's great news, 3 days smoke free!!!!! Well done, you've got through the worst bit. The nicotine has left your system and it's now mind over matter. Keep posting, stay positive and keep busy. Yay for you.

Hi WhiteWillow....Thanks for asking..🙂 yep day 6 today. Still feeling good about giving up but I've had the odd moment where I've thought...mmm I used to enjoy a smoke with this coffee. And I also have a head old at the moment and can't remember the last time I had one. Probably not related at all....But otherwise.....I'm still very determined to stay quit and feeling motivated and praying everyday that I haven't left it too late. May I ask how long you've been not smoking? Have a great day..🌞

schedule 15 Jul 2016

It's been 8 weeks today for me being a non-smoker. Your body is readjusting and gettign rid of the toxins from your body in whatever way it can, this includes a cold, you may get a little constipation and you may get a couple of colds over the next couple of months. This is perfectly normal.

My smoking memories are becoming less and less over the last few weeks, I don't feel as though I've lost something anymore.

You have not left it too late to stop smoking, don't ever say that.

You're a non-smoker for a week now, well done. You made it!!!! You're amazing and strong and free now. Keep busy, be happy and have a great weekend. Make sure you have plenty of jobs to keep you busy over the weekend and take yourself out for some fresh air, it will help your cold. Also steam your face, keeping your nasal passages moist will help shift the congestion. Hope you're feeling better soon. Hugs

Thanks, Annie, you've stopped 11 days now. That's amazing! You must be so proud of yourself. I treated myself to some 1950's style black and white spat shoes. They are gorgeous and cost me one week of not smoking :) I'm also enjoying being in the fresh air and completed a 5k Race of Life run on Sunday without stopping. I went running this morning too, the sun was so warm already at 6am that I only did 3.5k but I still feel proud of myself. I hope you're well, flower, keep posting and stay clean and smelling lovely :)

Hello again WhiteWillow....day 12 for me today and feeling great. Hope you are as well. Your shoes sound lovely and you so deserve them. I'm looking forward to treating myself to something using my "smoke" money, just haven't decided what yet. Congratulations on your 5k run....how awesome to completing it without stopping. I'm looking forward to starting my long walks again without becoming breathless. Where do you live that you have sunshine at 6 in the morning? It's still dark here at that time...(North Queensland, Australia)...Enjoy your running....and you should feel proud of yourself no matter how many k's you do! Take care...and I look forward to your posts...🌹🌻🌺

Yay! 12 days. Every time I write, you're another day further on -it's so exciting. I'm afraid I live the other side of the planet from you, over here in dear old Blighty. The weather has been amazing over the last few days and the honeysuckle smells incredible at all times of the day - this is our summer so we're making the most of it... probably won't last for too much longer, ha ha ha. Sort out some pretty walks and keep a diary of where you go and what you see. That will give you something to do once you're back and to look back on. Don't push yourself too hard, go easy on yourself as your body is still mending. Enjoy the fresh air :)
