feeling guilty

I feel like the biggest junkie on the first day I went to hypnotherapy ,hours before my appointment I bought a small packet of smokes to get me thru to my appointment ,time came I still had smokes left now ive still got some left which I try to tell myself is a good thing but I know I'm full of crap but on the good side I still haven't bought more so its weekend time everyone is home so it should help me and I'm having another session with the hypno yay me

I'ts great that you're taking the steps to quitting. Look at the positives....you want to quit, you are going to hypnotherapy, you didnt finish the pack off. Look forward to your next session and always remember that it all takes smalls steps especially at first. One day at a time. Im interested to know how you go with hypnotherapy as I dont know many who've tried it. Good luck with it

Welcome willson, I know a few people who have used hypnotherapy some good, some not, but if it works for you that is all that matters.
As far as the smokes that are left go, that is up to you, for me personally I am 95 days smoke free and I still carry my last pack (it has 6 cigarettes left) in my bag and it goes everywhere I do. I choose everyday not to smoke some days are good, some not, even now.
Everyone is different, some people have needed to get rid of all things to do with smoking ashtrays, lighters, cigarettes and other smokers, for me however, The fact that I have cigarettes on me does not mean I will smoke, my head is in the right space, it is my choice to be smoke free, so I am.
It is not always easy, but then what is.
Good luck on your journey keep posting

Hi Wilson, I'm intrigued about the hypnotherapy, I've never tried it but would be fascinated to hear how you get on. I can't carry cigs with me, I'm the opposite to storm. I'm ok with them being left on the kitchen table but I don't want them in my bag. But as the others have said, each to our own. You have to tackle this in the best way for you. We can only offer our opinions and tell you what worked for us. Keep posting and let us know how you're getting on.

what ever it takes this whole thing isn't about instant gratification that we so loved about our best friend that instant hit of dopamine, yeah baby for someone with depression it was like a face to face with God or better.
so if this is easy for you it wasn't an addiction , so take heart in the part that's hard as that's where the growth comes from, the only way through is through there is not side stepping finding out who we are nicotine free.
you can do it :)
