A momentary lapse of Smoking
So I had a work phone call telling me I was hoping on a plane to Sydney ok I will pack my bag said I as the TARDIS is in for repairs (some timey wimey thing I believe) So I head to the supermarket to get some gum, chocolate etc and a small packet of yes evil empire smokes Say WHAT!! Not a great move in the bin they go! Triggers are an interesting phenomenon for me it is travel planes trains and automobiles and stays in hotels both doggy and not. I will be travelling again next week so no supermarket visit for me where the evil smoking empire has their evil wears. This includes petrol stations, delis you get the idea. The evil mind tricks were very strong enough to purchase what I said I would never do and an expensive bin exercise. Keep strong and know that slip ups will occur we are creatures of habit after all and yes addicts. A momentary lapse of smoking well nearly a lesson learnt and more work still to do for this quit Padawan. All the best to everyone keep smoke free and live life, it is worth it after all.
Yes, it's funny. I couldn't see the point in the cupboards in supermarkets hiding the smokes but now I've stopped I'm very grateful.
Well done, Jazz, the mind is a strange thing, I wonder if we will ever understand it completely. Shows that smoking is more habit than anything else. Bet you're wishing the TARDIS was working and you could go back and stop the younger you buying that first packet. Bow ties are cool, smoking is not
There are a few things had the TARDIS been there (the Old girl ain't what she use to be) that I would change but lets not go into them as some things are fixed points in time after all. Yes bow ties are very cool as are sonic screwdrivers, smokes are defiantly not cool and will bring about the End of Time much sooner than is good for us. ok enough Whovian references (of which I have many). The evil smoking empire may have lead me astray yet much I have learnt from my daughter/companion that smokes go in the bin dad! How right you are honey how right you are. I sure understand the triggers coming out of the blue, and I have to remind myself I do not smoke.
I am also so very happy I don't have to go anywhere near that cupboard like what a saving in so many ways, I don't even think about it any more other than a passing glance every now and then to see how much money I am saving :)
